# Advanced Application Settings

## Settings

**Settings** have additional security related settings, and configurable time/user management options. The settings are grouped into the following categories:

## Advanced Settings

Advanced settings enable admins to mange runtime configurations and set a timezone (used by your local system and Digital Identity Management). Configure these settings from **Admin console** > **Settings** > **Advanced**.

Advanced Settings Details

| App Setting | Description | Default |
| - | - | - |
| **Max Users per Runtime** | This value sets the maximum number of users that can be associated to a runtime. **Note:** A runtime represents the software being used to access Digital Identity Management. For example, a runtime can be a web browser on a desktop, or an application on a mobile device. Each runtime instance can have multiple associations to the end users. | 10 |
| **Timezones** | This value defines the time zone that your instance of Digital Identity Management uses. Time zones are shown in the standard [IANA](https://www.iana.org/time-zones) (UTC offset) format, and can also be configured as a custom time zone string. **Note:** The time zone defaults to the local time if this value is left blank. Digital Identity Management issues warnings that advise you to select a time zone. | UTC -5:00 America Jamaica |

## Allowed Origins

To prevent [Cross-Origin Resource Sharing](https://developer.mozilla.org/en-US/docs/Web/HTTP/CORS) (CORS) errors, URLs/hostname can be configured for your instance of Digital Identity Management. Allowed Origins enables your tenant end users to access resources from any origin (domain, scheme, or port).

To add another URL/hostname to the Allowed Origins list, navigate to **Admin console** > **Settings** > **Allowed Origins**.

To add another URL to the **Allowed Origins** list, select the **+** icon and enter the required URL to be added to the list. To remove an exisitng entry select the trash icon beside the relevant URL to delete.

Once you've entered and saved the required URLs/hostnames, the entries display on the **Allowed Origins** page.
