# Update OIDC Clients

You must have a registered OIDC client.

This task explains the steps to edit a registered OIDC client. Changes made to a registered OIDC client will only apply to your non-production environment at first. New and updated OIDC client settings can then be applied to the production environment at a later date.

1. Navigate to the **OIDC Clients** page by doing either of the following:

   * Sign in to the Admin console. By default, the **OIDC Clients** page appears.
   * If you are already signed in and you are on any other page, then on the left-hand navigation panel, click **OIDC Clients**.

2. On the **OIDC Clients** page, you can edit an OIDC client by doing either of the following:

   * Click <img src="https://mintcdn.com/amdocs-ulm/11Eo_UmnVjqUC-Xl/portal/m1Connect/DIMAdminGuide/images/oidc3dotMenuIcon.png?fit=max&auto=format&n=11Eo_UmnVjqUC-Xl&q=85&s=32bb1dbf354b9460ed99f3bdbec04931" alt="Menu" width="25" height="25" data-path="portal/m1Connect/DIMAdminGuide/images/oidc3dotMenuIcon.png" /> icon beside the OIDC client to be updated. A menu opens. Click **Edit client**. The **Edit OIDC Client** page appears.
   * Click the OIDC client to be updated. The **Client Details** page appears. Click **Edit client** in the upper-right corner. The **Edit OIDC Client** page appears.

3. Modify the clients settings as required. For details on each of the client configuration points, refer to the [Register an OIDC Client](registeringClients_t_NEW) topic.

4. In the **General Information** pane, you can view/copy the **Client Id** and manage **Client Secret** as required. You may need this information for an authorization flow or another application integration.

   * **Client name** is the name used by your application and it can't be changed.
   * **Client Id** - This is an auto-generated field and not editable. Your assigned **Client ID** is shown in the field. Copy
   * **Client Secret** - Some of the authorization methods described previously require a client secret. Click **Rotate Secret** to have the Admin console generate a secure Universally Unique Identifier (UUID), or enter a client secret string yourself. This string must be unique and hard to hack.

5. To save the settings, click **Save**, or click **Cancel** to exit without saving.

The OIDC Client or Relying Party (RP) settings are updated.
