# Set Up an External IDP

To set up an external identity provider (IDP), complete the following:

1. Inform your Amdocs representative that you need your external IDP to be federated. The external IDP must be OIDC-based to integrate with the platform.
2. Create an OIDC client in your external IDP. See your external IDP's documentation for more information. For examples of OIDC client creation in Okta and Azure, see: [Set Up Okta Authentication](OktaAuthenticationSetup) and [Set Up Azure AD (Active Directory) Authentication](AzureAuthenticationSetup).
3. Share the following OIDC client credentials with your Amdocs representative:
   * Client ID
   * Client secret

After completing these steps, your Amdocs representative integrates your external IDP. When the integration is complete, users can sign in to the platform using their credentials from the external IDP.
