# MarketONE Connect 2022.05 - Release Note

## Announcements
The following are MarketONE Connect Announcements:

## Connect Features
This section describes the key enhancements in this release:
### **New Application Setting: Email Domain Blocklist**
This feature provides a solution for organizations that want to block onboarding of end users based on email domains. For example, an organization may decide to block end user onboarding with @example.com email domain.
As of this release, a new application setting **Email Domain Blocklist** (emailDomainBlocklist.system.security) has been introduced. Once email domains are added to this application setting, a new user will be prevented from onboarding or an existing user will be prevented from adding/updating email address if it matches one of the blocked email domains.
Currently an administrative API must be used to update this new application setting.
Coming soon: this new application setting will be configurable from the Connect Admin application.
### **Consolidation of Notification Templates**
To simplify managing Connect's notification templates, we consolidated the notification templates used in similar use cases. Admin users can now manage their notifications with fewer modifications. See the Connect Admin User Guide [Notification Templates](https://docs.vindicia.com/bundle/b_connectAdminGuide/page/topics/notificationServicesAbout_c.html) for a list of available templates.

### **Storefront Gateway: New Refund Transaction API Call**
This feature allows merchants to refund transactions when required and return funds to the customer (end user). Typically refunds are created due to a billing error or customer complaint. A new API call has been released to [MarketONE Storefront Gateway OpenAPIs](https://docs.vindicia.com/bundle/Amdocs_Media-Storefront-Gateway/page/index.html): Refund Transaction.
This API can be called only by an Admin User or Customer Service Representative (CSR) that can access the API.
The following conditions apply:
* Refunds in this case, do not lead to service cancellation.
* The refund call only applies to credit card transactions.
* End user submits a request for refund, and owns the subscription, and the subscription must be active.
### SMS Notification Services Management Enhancement
Connect allows Merchants to configure a custom SMS Provider used in the delivery/dispatch of their notification messages. Connect is also packaged with a limited SMS email-to-sms service that can be used in non-production environments. Testing options are available for both production/non-production environments (ProdTest/Prod).
From this release, the Connect Admin App provides a new interface where you can configure and send a test message. The new interface is available from **BRANDING** > **SMS Provider**.

### SMS Notification Template Management Enhancement
Connect supplies template files that support branding and customization. Merchants are responsible for their template design and a configured delivery service. Connect stores the templates, and triggers notification events that are processed by the specified delivery service (SMS provider).
From this release, Connect Admin App provides a new interface to download, upload and test SMS notification templates. The new interface is available from **BRANDING** > **SMS Templates**.
