Release Date: June 23, 2022

## Connect Features

This section describes the key enhancements in this release:

### **Support for Email Address and One-Time Password (OTP) in Identity App**

As of this release the Identity app (formerly known as the IdP UI) supports onboarding and authentication with email address and OTP. Previously, the Identity app supported email address and password only.

This capability is useful for merchants that require their users to onboard with email address and OTP as the only method, or one of many other methods (e.g. social provider).

### **New Configuration to Conditionally Block Authentication**

The OnboardAndAuthenticate V2 process, which is pre-integrated to the Identity app, includes a new configuration: **enforce-product**.

When this configuration is enabled, users will not be able to authenticate or onboard if one of the following applies:

* The user does not have an associated account.
* The API call does not pass a product code.

The most common use case for this configuration is to block authentication or onboarding when the user is not a paying or premium customer (no account discovered or associated).
