# Digital Identity Management 2024.07 - Release Notes

Release Date: August 7, 2024

## Digital Identity Management Features and Enhancements

This section describes the key updates in this release:

### More Information About the Impersonating User in the User History Reports (UXDR)

The impersonation feature allows customer support agents to impersonate users and act on their behalf. With this release, Digital Identity Management captures more information about the impersonating user (customer support agent) in the impersonated user's UXDR. Therefore, Resellers can observe the actions of their customer support agents on behalf of their users. Resellers can now see the following information:

* Impersonating user's ID
* Impersonating user's external ID (if it is applicable)
* Impersonating user's email/mobile (if it is applicable)
* Impersonating user's display name (if it is applicable)

### New Impersonation Role

To restrict customer support agents from purchasing subscriptions on behalf of the user, an additional access level has been introduced. The new role allows users to impersonate another user, but only to perform certain actions on their behalf. As this new role has fewer permissions, it will increase the security of digital storefronts and protect customers from fraud.

### New Ability to Map External IdP Roles to Digital Identity Management Roles

New application settings are introduced in this release to allow Resellers who are using their own IdP to carry over the user's roles to Digital Identity Management. It defines the mapping between the external IdP and Digital Identity Management, streamlining role and access management. Moreover, it prevents inconsistencies between the user's access level in the Reseller's IdP and the storefront application, increasing security.

### Get All Transactions History API Enhancement

The Get All Transactions History API now returns the subscription ID. Using this ID, the storefront applications can retrieve more information about the subscription involved in a transaction.
