# ULM 9 Requirements

## ULM 9 Infrastructure

Your organization's infrastructure may already be set up with an existing configuration, or you may need to install and configure additional components. To successfully deploy to your private cloud, the following must be available for ULM 9:

* **Microservice configuration** - This configuration is found in each microservice's [Helm chart](https://vindicia-ext-staging.zoominsoftware.io/bundle/b_ulm9OperationsGuide/page/topics/ulm9FindHelmChart_t.html) or the default [Docker image](https://vindicia-ext-staging.zoominsoftware.io/bundle/b_ulm9OperationsGuide/page/topics/ulm9Kubernates_t.html).

* **Docker images** - These generic files are the built images of most microservices and can be used with no modifications. To deploy to an EKS cluster, customers need an AWS ECR instance for image uploads. See how to [pull Docker images](https://vindicia-ext-staging.zoominsoftware.io/bundle/b_ulm9OperationsGuide/page/topics/ulm9Kubernates_t.html) into your environment.

* **Helm charts** - Helm charts are used to install microservices into your Kubernetes cluster(s). See how to [install a Helm chart](https://vindicia-ext-staging.zoominsoftware.io/bundle/b_ulm9OperationsGuide/page/topics/ulm9Install_t.html).

* **AWS configuration** - ULM 9 uses many AWS resources that need to configured in your private cloud. See [AWS Configuration](ulm9EnvReqs) below for more details.

* **Secret information**- Sensitive information, such as database credentials or cryptographic keys, are stored separately from Helm charts and used during deployment time. Contact the [ULM 9 team](mailto:connectsystems@amdocs.com) for guidance on configuring your secrets and secure storage vault.

* **Installation instructions for non-containerized applications** - Contact the [ULM 9 team](mailto:connectsystems@amdocs.com) for guidance on configuring applications outside of your EKS cluster.
