Digital Identity Management REST API
Digital Identity Management REST Application Programming Interface (API) is a set of commands that enables third-party developers to utilize the services and normalized data offered by the MarketONE platform. Digital Identity Management’s comprehensive API library is designed for a variety of user identity and user information management purposes, including the following examples:- User provisioning and user management; for example, user onboarding, authentication, authorization.
- Service modeling; that is, mapping external account data to Digital Identity Management Account/Subscription/Feature (A/S/F) data entities.
- Service sharing; that is, by way of Digital Identity Management User-to-A/S/F, Group-to-A/S/F, and User-to-Group data associations.
- Service support; for example, retrieve and manage user information in CRM systems.
- High volume machine-to-machine data synchronization between Digital Identity Management and authorized external systems.
- Service entitlement and secure access to resources in business-to-customer contexts; for example, authenticate a user, and retrieve their service entitlements, before granting them access to a service.
- Initialize Digital Identity Management Processes to perform more complex, multiple-call operations that guide front end UIs.

Digital Identity Management API Processes
A Process is a distinct service invoked by an API, and executed entirely in the cloud, that guides an organization’s front end application(s). Each process is comprised of a number of process steps where each step sends, receives, processes, or returns resources to and from the front end UI. In contrast to, for example, a standard single-job API call, a Process invokes a number of separate, linked calls to perform multiple decisions based on business logic, application setting configuration, and the user’s input on the front end interface.
